November 9, 2010 Games

Crazy night in the NBA last night. First starting with the Pacers' record setting night. Last night the Indiana Pacers played Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets. In the 3rd quarter the Pacers scored 54 points. Then went on to win the game 144 to 113. Mike Dunleavy looking to get back into form by scoring a game high of 31 points.

Also last night it was the first annual "No LeBron Bowl" with angame between the Cavs and the Nets. Cavs add another win to their record after traveling to New Jersey and coming away with a 93 to 91 victory. J.J. Hickson led the Cavs with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

If you were to read this next game on paper you wouldn't even look at the score. The Jazz went to South Beach and had to play the Miami Heat. In this game the Jazz trailed by 22 at half time, D-Wade scored 39 points, LeBron had his first triple - double as a member of the Heat, Al Jefferson was 1 for 7 from the field, and Deron Williams fouls out. By reading this the Heat must of won by 50 right? Wrong! Paul Millsap steps up in the 4th quarter and hits 3 three pointers in a row and makes the layup at the buzzer to tie the game and send it into overtime. In OT the Jazz overcome the hot hand of D-Wade and sneak away with a 2 point victory. Paul Millsap had a career scoring night with 46 points. Way to go Paul! The question still remains. Can the Heat compete with the West?

The other games of the night were not that surprising. The Hornets stay undefeated and beat the Clippers 101 to 82. The Bucks get back on track and beat the Knicks 107 to 80. The Trailblazers stand strong at home and beat the Pistons 100 to 78. Last but not least the defending champion LA Lakers beat the T'Wolves in the leagues "Best vs. Worst Battle" by a score of 99 to 94.
